It's a girl!

My older sister, Amy, went to the doctor today. She is 21 weeks, so they found out that the baby is a girl. Yeah!!! As far as I know they have not decided on a name but they have plenty of time. Her due date is April 13th. We are all very excited and can't wait to see her.

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving my family went to my grandparent's house. As usual, we had lots of good food. Below are some pictures of my niece, Miclaya and my cousin's little boy, Caleb. (I have two cousins with sons named Caleb.) They had the best time playing together.

Below is me with Caleb.
After lunch some of us took a walk to a park.
Below is my grandmother, MommaGirl. (I grew up calling her MommaBerle, but when one of my cousin's little girl started talking she would say "MommaGirl". Then when Miclaya started talking, she would say the same thing. So now it is MommaGirl!)
Here is Caleb taking a break before sliding down the slide.

This is my sister, Carol Leigh. I thought this picture turned out really good.

Here is another one of Carol Leigh. She is a big kid!

Here is MommaGirl on the merry-go-round.
The big kid again! Needless to say, we had a good time at the park!
Miclaya on the merry-go-round.

And of course, Caleb on the merry-go-round.
After we walked back to the house everyone was very tired. Especially Miclaya and Caleb.
This is Caleb about to fall asleep.

Tired or not, Miclaya and Caleb still played some more.

We all enjoyed the great food and the time we got to spend together.

Discovery Toys!

My sister called me today to let me know that her website is up and running. She has decided to start selling Discovery Toys. They are educational toys. Here is a link to her website http://www.discoverytoyslink.com/esuite/home/amyjones. By what I understand these toys are great for children with autism. Anyway, check out the website and see what you think.

Rapture House

My church here in NC does this thing called the Rapture House every year. It is like a play that you walk from scene to scene. Anyway, since I haven't had anything to do since I got back here, I have been helping set up for it.
Tonight was kind of a dress rehearsal. Between groups going through we were able to catch up with our old youth pastor and his family. Below is a picture of Mrs. Annette, Anna, and Hailey in the Heaven scene. (These pictures were taken with my cell phone so the color is not all that good.)

Below is Matt (Jesus), Hailey, Anna, and Madison.

Here is another one with Matt (Jesus), Hailey, and Madison.

Every year everyone puts a lot of work into the Rapture House and every year we have a good time putting it on. Below is the dates and times. Also, http://www.garnerfwb.org/ is the church website with more information.

Please pray for everyone involved and everyone that will be attending this year.

Moving!

For those who don't know, I am moving back to NC. So today was spent packing the last of my things. (It's been a long day!) Anyway, this time I need a bigger trailer (6x12) than I had for when I moved to here. I really did not realize how much stuff I accumulated in the five months that I have lived here. It looks like the trailer is longer than my 4Runner.
Below is the empty trailer.
And this is just some of the stuff that has to go in there!
By the looks of things, it is a good thing I got a bigger trailer.
I was kind of worried that I would not be able to get out of the driveway or the neighborhood with it loaded. (The driveway is steep and the neighborhood is very hilly!) But thankfully I had not problem.
The plan is I am staying at my cousin's tonight and driving back tomorrow. I need to be back in time to vote.

Halloween 2008

Today started out with me going with Erin to take Caleb and Sophie to the doctor for a check-up. They both had to get shots.
Below is Sophie in her Halloween outfit before we went to the doctor.
I went with Brad, Erin, and the kids to Brad's sister's house for a Halloween get together. We all had a good time!

This is Erin, a cowgirl and Sophie, a butterfly.

Caleb, the Nice Red Dragon and his cousin, Bumble Bee from Transformers.

This is the back of Caleb's costume. It is the cutest thing!

Me, a nurse and Sophie. They told me that I had to dress up so I went
with a costume that is comfortable!
Caleb and another cousin, a kitty cat.

Sophie was wide awake when we first got there. She spent the remainder of the night asleep.

Caleb's cousin, the kitty cat.

Brad, the pirate.

Crazy Few Weeks!!!

The past few weeks have been crazy! But the best part is that I have been spending a lot of time with Caleb and Sophie. This was taken yesterday right before Brad and Caleb carved the pumpkin. Erin printed a template off the internet. I did not get a picture of it finished, but it looks really cute.

Earlier that day Caleb and I were watching movie trailers on the internet. The one he liked most is the one for Madagascar 2. It looks really cute! (I want to see it to!) Anyway, after watching a few trailers I noticed that he had fallen asleep.
If you look close you can see that he was drooling in the picture above.

Weekend in Kentucky

Last weekend I went to Kentucky to visit my sister and her family. I got on the road around 4:00 am Saturday morning. Here are a few pictures of the mountains as the sun was coming up. I was getting tired so I decided to stop for a few minutes and take some pictures of the beautiful view.

When I got there we ate lunch and then loaded up the boat to head out fishing. It was such a pretty day to be out on the lake. Below is my sister, Amy.
This is Miclaya, my niece.

Here are pictures that Miclaya took of the pretty view on the lake. She took several that day.

This is my brother-in-law, Clay, catching the big one!
(The line was actually caught on a limb in the water.)
These are pictures from my drive home on Sunday. They are from Cherokee National Forest. I really enjoyed the drive home. The weather was perfect for a drive with the windows down. Something funny that happened, I was following the directions that my GPS was giving me so I was not familiar with the way I was going. I was just driving along and I saw a sign that said "Welcome to North Carolina". My fist thought was "I don't think I am supposed to be driving through NC," I had one of the moments of not knowing exactly where I was and I did not have any phone service. Not a good felling! But luckily I had a map that my mom got me when I first moved here. I looked at that and realized that I was only about an hour and a half from my cousin's house. It was one of those things that I had to laugh about. Anyway, I had a great time that weekend. I can't wait to go back for another visit.

What's new here!

Brad, Erin, Caleb, and Sophie came home last Saturday. They were all very happy to be home. After Caleb gave everyone hugs, he headed out to the back porch to ride his bike.
Above is a picture of Sophie and I that day. She is so tiny! She still fits into some preemie clothes.
Another new things going on here is Michael (my cousin/roommate) got a dog. I can't remember what kind he is but he is small. Michael named him Rascoe. He is really cute.
Anyway, other than Rascoe and Sophie there is nothing really new going on here.
